I have taken up a new hobby...electric guitar. Anyone know a good instructor in the Dallas area? I am debating between a self-teaching course or an instructor, but I am leaning toward actual lessons so that I don't develop any bad habits.

He runs a recording studio locally and if he can't/won't do it himself he can hook you up.

    Tell him I said hey

E-mail me and I will send you a great instructor.

Came to my house to teach my son and another kid who split lessons, and did a great
    job.

Looks just like George Harrison, and is a studio and live musician who sits in on a lot
    of events.

Check out Mike Dawson. He teaches piano and guitar. His website is stillflamemusic.com. Mike can teach both classical and rock. His band Still Flame has a great contemporary sound. By all means take lessons. I started taking piano lessons from him 3 years ago at age 68, so if he can teach me to play, he can teach anyone.

If you can learn & figure out how to play "Lazy" on your own, then that's all you would ever need to know.
