360 Headlamp buckets

I’m in the process of a down to bare aluminum repaint of my 360. I’d like to repaint the headlamp buckets as well and would like this team’s advice on taking them apart. I have seen a few recommendations and videos out there but none seem to be bullet proof. If there is a clear best solution or expert on this I’d appreciate the recommendation.

thanks for the article. Did I read that you clear coated the lens after you polished it? How is that holding up? Also, once you got the lens off how difficult was it to get the rest of the bucket disassembled for paint?

 

Yes, the lenses were cleared afterward. Some paint is peeling in the bucket, but the painter did a poor job in general. I know he just taped off everything else, so it wasn't completely disassembled. If I recall correctly, doing so was rather prohibitive.
