I am helping a friend with a 1983 Mondial Coupé. Does anyone happen to know where the original headliner material can be found? Is it the same exact material as used on same period 308?

    Thank you,

It is a wool cavalry twill supplied exclusively to Ferrari by Ermenegildo Zegna
It is no longer available from them.
It existed in grey and beige/crimson.
It was used on the 308, Mondial and 512 as far as I know.

Another suggestion is to contact Albert-LP, whom is very active in the 308 sub-forum.

He's very active in restoring 208 Turbos. I remember on one of his restoration threads, he mentioned acquiring some headliner (and cloth seat) material.

    He might have another source

There is a guy in Portland, Italian Car Parts, who used to have it. I once bought some plug wires from him, they were grossly wrong impedance, he charged a restocking fee. So caveat emptor.

Check the year some of them came with the option for leather headliner. I changed mine to leather.

I ordered my '90 t coupe from the factory with black leather headliner, which is great.

I'm still searching for the correct headliner fabric for the 1982* Mondial Coupé with sun roof. I've attached a photo for an exact example of the fabric I'm looking for. BTW: Is this is the same fabric as used on the earlier 308's?

If anyone has any leads as to where I can source this fabric please let me know.

    Many thanks,

*I was off one year in my opening post to this thread, the year should have read 1982.

I think you will need to call upholstery workshops and in particular that do old Ferraris maybe exclusive classics. Or a workshop where they rebuild classic Ferraris. They usually know an address or two. One that is impossible to find on the Internet since these shops don't have the fabrics pictured online.

I know that mine has the same fabric that is used in Porsches from the same era. I know this when I visited a friend who runs an upholstery who mentioned it when he saw it. He even gave me the fabric code.

These guys know a lot when you have the right one. Hope you will find it!

I humbly retract my post - what you have in your car is not what I mentioned - I have never seen your trim material...
