Yes I am more accustomed to posting heavenly bodies of the female type, but I just cannot resist sharing these with you guys. I am a little sad that we probably won't see another plane (commercial) as beautiful as this in our lifetime.... Perhaps some of you lucky ones had the pleasure of flying in one of these? (Nika??)

These were forwarded to me from a buddy in the U.S. Navy who is a flight officer, and he knows I am a brown-shoe-wannabe. I am sure he got these from someone else, perhaps someone in the UK?

I think these are taken while the LAST flying concorde left the UK for Seattle. BTW, it arrived here in Boeing Field 2 days ago filled with BA employees and VIPs, the LAST flying Concorde doing its LAST landing, and be grounded forever..... Sad.

Nice pics, Stewart. Thanks for posting. \

I heard on the news that just for good measure, they set the NY to Seattle commercial flight time record. One passenger commented about how (paraphrasing) "it was just so smooth, going through Mach 2".

So sorry I never took the time and expense to fly on it...

I have talked to a couple of people who has tried the Concorde. The sentiment is that it is a very "tight" plane (when we are spoiled by wide-body planes). But I am sure it is the "idea" that counts....

OK. Here are the pictures in higher resolutions as they were sent to me, suitable for wallpaper. I would give credit to the photographer but that information is not available to me.

It is a shame they don't use that aircraft anymore, There is still no other passenger aircraft capable of achieving such speeds...
