It turns out that unbeknownest to me, I bought a motorcycle helmet when I first was doing track days. Most places don't seem to care but I just saw that the Buttonwillow event on 7/1 does care. I don't think I can make that event anyway but I think I do want to now get a real (SA) driving helmet. Problem is - where to go? When I bought the motorcycle helmet, I spent a long time in the store trying on different helmets. Its definitely not one size fits all and even if I know my size, I still find subtle differences. These things aren't cheap - especially the SA versions. I see that Bell and Simpson have relatively cheap SA versions but I want to try before I buy. I'm in the South Bay - anyone know a place to try them on?

Any places closer to the south bay? Helmet City wasn't open on the weekend (according to their 800 number). I'm assuming one can go there to try on? Still, its a bit far a drive to go during the week.

I believe Art has the type you want. You may want to send him a PM for his reply.
