Someone backed accross the front of Candy's 1982 400i. She now needs a front bumper. Her Ferrari was parked well out of the way when a guy in a old Ford pickup backed up and scraped and bent the front bumper. While it is covered by the offending driver under his insurance it is up to us to find the needed parts. We also need left and right turn/clearance light covers.

Any ideas new or perfect used..................parts

Sorry to hear of the mishap. Ebay has the lenses for sale.

Not exactely cheap but at least you can get them.

As far as the bumper goes good luck. I think a lot of these cars could use a replacement. I know if I could get new bumpers for my car (for a reasonable cost) I would. If you come up with a bumper solution you could be a hero! :)

Neither of those are the correct ones for his car. Those are aftermarket parts, not factory, and not even close to being right.

Howard, check with Rutlands for the lenses. They had a set of used ones a year ago and wanted $400 or $500 each for them.

Dave, the ad says they are reproductions. Will they fit, or are they the wrong size?

I don't know if they'll fit. The factory ones are steel backed and those are plastic. Both of them are the wrong color for Howard's car.

Check with Ferrari UK, their stock of stuff is pretty impressive, they still have NOS fenders for my 330.

    Hi Howard,
    www.eurospares.co.uk website shows:
The 400 Front bumper superceeds to 412... 257-36-002-00 184.85 pounds IN STOCK ?
255-83-170-00/A right lens amber / clear 295. pounds
255-83-171-00/A left lens amber / clear 295 pounds

AK Jims second ebay listing showing the all amber lenses are physically correct for your car. These lights were produced in all amber, amber/clear, or all clear depending on model year and destination counrty. Originally you could only buy the entire lens/housing assembly but those ran out several years ago. Rutlands was supplying the lens only. Everyones lenses are reproduction. If the ones on ebay have plastic backs that would be great because otherwise you will have to reuse your existing housings; And its a PITA to change the lenses.

    Hey Howard

Sorry to hear of the accident. I suggest Fred Petroske upstate N.Y. 315 549 2861 he has a few 400's he's parting out. Don't clean him out though...I need a front lens also. One's cracked on my 412 but not enough for me to worry about right now. Good Luck.

I got a bumper from Rutland. He had to order from Italy and it took several weeks. It is now in fiberglass with no primer or paint. You will need to paint it; any body shop will know "Rally Black" and it is a perfect match to original color and gloss.

    Up to you?
I don't see how that should be so but since they have delegated the task they ought not ***** when the bill comes.

Good luck with it and I hope it works out okay.

    Pretty common these days...

I sat and dictated an estimate on my Ferrari the other day, to the adjuster!!

They have no idea, on sources or values.......
