    I just started my f430 after months of hibernation .The service light came on.Any ideas.Thanks.

    Best way to approach is start by getting her scanned to see what is going on. I wouldn't think it's anything serious but you definitely want to know the data from the ECU before you start spending money on getting her fixed up.

    Exactly. Why does the computer feel the need to put the light on... then you can determine if it's nothing big, or if it needs to be looked futher into..

    Sometimes things after long periods of time can stick. Hopefully you find out, I have heard of people using cheap OBDII readers to scan which will spit out the codes.
