Quick question for the pros. Was the F430’s 4.3L V8 a homologated engine for the GT2/GT3/GTD race cars? I read the GTC car was destroked to 4.0, but I’m wondering if the identical 4.3L engine was used in any of the other classes for Le Mans, Sebring, etc...

    TIA

The GTC was de-stroked but the GT3 wasn't, so I guess it was approved in that form.

Thanks for the response. I was just trying to confirm they didn’t mod the engine for a “special” homologation run.
