So, I've been playing with the dino idea for a while now. And I think after todays youtube session, I'm in. I've had my 430 for a couple months now and it doesn't really do anything for me but get me from point A to B, quickly.

Going to start my search now for a good car. I'm open to GT or GTS since I'll have my 328GTS already. Would love a darker color but can be swayed. And I'm pretty sure daytona seats are a must...

This message is more of an official 'making a decision' for myself and sharing at the same time.

I am the same heigth and I don't have a problem fitting. It actually isn't uncomfortable because of the way the seats are. You do feel like you are reclining a bit and your legs take a bit of time to figure out how to move in and out of position.

I'm 5' 11" and if I'm seated properly in my Dino, my knees are nearly on the dash. Best you get a drive in a 246 and see for yourself. The Italian driving position of these cars, Daytona included is something to be appreciated. It's easy to sit fairly upright and fit but the car is designed for you to be deeper into the seat and knees slightly on each side of the steering wheel. Good luck and have fun in the process and keep us posted.

Drew, if you want to test out what a Dino feels like you are more than welcome to try out my GTS. It's a pretty nice 73 Euro example w/ a strong engine. Although we don't have many fun roads over here there are a few places where you could try it out.

6'4"? Damn, that's impressive in this car.

From what I've seen I'm looking in the 150k range. I know there are a bunch of cars out there for 200k plus, but that doesn't work for me especially since I'm going to drive this car almost daily.

Good decision. I was strongly tempted before being lured over to the vintage Porsche side. The 246 hits that elusive "classic but driveable" sweet spot, IMHO.

There seems to be a decent price premium for the GTS, I've noticed. While I'd prefer the open car for driving enjoyment, it seems like the smarter money right now might be on the GT.

I would sell the F430 while the season is right and before values tumble, and maybe plan to buy a 246 in the fall -- although you can't always plan when the right car will come along.

It's just such a damn sexy car. I'm putting the 430 up for sale once I get some good pics. Unfortunately I think I've already found a great 246gts at a good price. Checking it out on Tuesday and then ppi. I wish I had the willpower to wait till fall to buy the car.
