    why horror show?
except the wheels it looks not so bad and it is below 200k US $
also as you see it is/was a driver and no show car, but I wonder about those low mileage with around 30.000 miles
and the description is wrong: there never have been a california BBi

Why is the rear wheel not aligned in the rear wheel arch? Ouch, that will take a lot of $ to fix. Pretty sad.

    imho:

I've seen wayy worse. It has the euro lighting up front (why the passing light covers?) and has cats + I think I see a BAR sticker in the door jamb. The descriptions for these cars can be all over the place. it's important to know what you're looking at. Some interesting protection rubber along the doors. No doubt - put there with the best intentions. I'd take a closer look if I was in the market. I don't recall seeing books & pouch or tools, except for jack kit? Price of entry is good. To an F-chatter, it would be a project on its way to glory.

It might come with wheels? More investigation needed.

Do a search and look at the cars that are for sale through Beverly Hills Car Club. I'll be kind and just say most need........attention.

    True.

But sometimes "Barn-Finds" only need a wash & coat of wax to make them cherry, and sometimes they need fresh steel welded in for rusted floors and roofs, and a whole drivetrain and chassis refreshed and new wiring and complete replacement of rotted interior etc.

Also, the fantasy barn-find is 5 hundred bucks or whatever.

Just saying, IF I was in the market, I'd have a closer look. Maybe for reference, maybe run away, maybe not.. Lots to consider. I've passed on some cars that I wasn't comfortable about. One of them I still know and it's spectacular today.

    Just looked at pics again:

That plate on the Ac comp? Part of air pump mount?
The plumbing for AIS and how connected to headers might be interesting.
It has a BAR sticker, so I'd expect some SMOG hardware. Might be done cleanly (completely reversible) if you get up close and study it.

The screws on door by latch-- Part of importing requirements, or is that part of the regular door hardware?
