I am at me beach house on Cape San Blas waiting for her to hit S.Fla. to see where she will go next...hopefully not here in the panhandle.

The Weather Channel just changed their projected path of Hurricane Frances (spelled with an 'e', not an 'i'). Frank is on the westernmost forecasted fringe, but they say by the time the storm gets near to the panhandle it will not be at hurricane strength. The issue will be water - the slower it moves, the more water will be dumped.

Good luck Frank - I hope you only need an umbrella - for some sun shade.

    Vince.

Agreed. last time I was down at Cape San Blas - the road had gone - the Cape's not wide and would be subject to serious damage due to water.

My parents are holed up in their townhouse in Boynton Beach, fortunately far enough from the ocean that storm surge will not be an issue. They still have electricity and report heavy wind and rain, but the only damage so far is some branches down that broke some beams on a trellis on the patio. The structural integrity of the house is fine but I told them to sleep downstairs tonight, where the patio fence will protect them from flying debris possibly breaking the upstairs windows. I think they'll be all right.

IVAN IS THE ONE I AM WORRIED ABOUT. :( it is the strongest storm in recorded history that far south. it will be a catagory 5 by mid week and the models suggest it is set to track west north west towards the east coast. maybe it will take a hard right and fizzle into the ocean!!!!
