A friend of mine sent me a picture he took last year in Portugal near Cascais. Seems like this is 166MM #0058 , yet the starting number was different last time this car was photographed for RM Auction in 2017. Back then it hold the #116 from 1954 Bakersfield Road Race. Looks like this particular car is a real deal. Wonder if the owners remain the same (since the car didn't sell at the auction) or this car changed hands and hence the new "Mille Miglia" starting numer on the body.

    Any help is welcome.

I don't know about current ownership, but this is 0058M with its 1951 Mille Miglia number, 340.

0058 M did not sell at the RM Sotheby's auction in Amelia Island. It was sold post-auction, privately, late March 2017, and now lives in Cascais, Portugal.
