Has anyone here installed one on your 355? I know there are a few on 456s.

I still think that any reputable stereo/alarm installation shop can bypass it for you.

Someone on the Porsche forum disabled the 355 with a single jumper wire.

I made a thread last year with a lot of details about it, but it looks like that has since been deleted.

The 993T shares the same immobilizer. You can apparently use a jumper wire to the starter side of the immobilizer relay.

Some 355's disable the starters while the others disable the ignition, so you'll need to jump whichever applies to your car.

I was thinking today about putting up a thread about this. I don't know how but there's some very talented electrical engineers and even a real rocket scientist. Seems this would be a walk in the park for them.

You just run a jumper wire on your driver's side door switch wire's for your interior light. The only thing now is that your interior light won't come on when you open the driver's door...but you will never have to use your fab again.

Has already been bypassed. See the thread in the 456, 550, 575 section. Search "immobilizer bypass."
