    Sigh, I have jumped in the rabbit hole of independent watchmakers! I am deciding my first piece between Grönefeld, Voutilainen, and FP Journe (assuming I have my ways to get them). I am okay with the design with H. Moser Cie, MB&F.

    What are your experiences with independent watchmakers and what brand did you choose? if there is any regret, please feel free to share.

    F.P. Journe is hard to find, I don’t think moiser is a great piece, personal opinion.

    I think buying an FP Journe is like buying a Ferrari when Enzo was running the company. Problem is they have multi year waitlists.

    I’m not convinced Moser is worth the money. Beautiful dials but I’ve read negative comments about their quality on Rolexforums.

    I completely agree. I think I will focus on Kari Voutilainen and FP Journe. Someone backed out on the order of Sports28 for Kari, so I jumped right in. I am also working on the bespoke piece right now.

    We will see if the Journe boutique will be able to wing some magic for my upcoming birthday. By the way, since this is still a car forum, I would be remiss if I don't share this. Was at a Journe event where we looked at the RUF CTR3 Clubsport. 1 of 7, 1.4 M.

    I told them now I got the bragging rights to my car nuts buddies.

    I love independents! I've a lot of them. A lot of them are now difficult to find. Just ordered a Czpaek Antartique in blue glacier!

    Stainless and salmon dial!
    Their production is so low that it is a nightmare to have their watches.
