Has anyone here recently noticed that the dollar is not worth what it used to be? I realize gas/heating prices have gone up but here it seems everything I regularly buy is at least 10-30% more expensive then it was at the beginning of the year.

    Examples:
    Cereal: $3.25/box now $4.25
    milk: 1.60/gallon now $2.00
    movie ticket: 8.50 now 9.25
    Tires/ 110/corner now 130/corner
oil changes approaching $30 bucks used to be $22

Even consumer electronics prices are holding and in some cases going up as well.

Just an observationas I was out shopping these last months.

I got a 20% increase in pay at the new job and I feel like i have less in my wallet. Ugh.

As a dirt, deals, and death guy, you gotta love it. I'd much rather have some inflation than deflation...

Yeah! For real! I personally can't stand the generic brands, so I have to have the better brands of milk like Schepp's or Borden. I paid $4.50 for a gallon just 2 days ago.
