Oh contraire, most owners do drive them and even race them.

If you can afford the car, you can easily afford any repairs.

If you want to see a really nice and accurate GTO repro in the making, go to the Chicago section and check 'Haley and Chelle's Project'

I just got a stomach ache.

EDIT: It is a nice looking car but I just couldn't bring myself to buying it. Someone asks, "is that really a Ferrari?" I'd hate the answer I'd give.

I'd rather have a damn nice GT4 or Mondi' for the money. JMO.

From what I heard, most of the real 250 GTO's have been wrecked and repaired. That's just what I heard.

I think this car is not bad as a garage decoration, and take to drive sometime. Although drive feeling must be quite difference, you'll catch a lot of people's eyes. I want to hear how the car sounds!

The seller seems honest, and detail-minded, which is a good trend. I don't know how many will cough up $23K for this car though.

BTW, thanks for posting this bid. I don't check e-bays at all, so posts like this help me to know what's available!

Actually Dane, there is a "recreation GTO" in Madison here that is more expensive than 99% of the cars here. And it is AWESOME. Hand made from all Ferrari parts and pushes 600HP.

So if you got one like that you could tell everyone, "Yes it IS a Ferrari!!" and say it with a smile!! :)

Why?? Enzo actually MADE a few of those cars with that curve just like that in the middle of the car. He wrapped his into a tree but actually found that it was faster with that "dead zone' in the front of the car like that!!

I also happen to have a 328 for sale with a few undocumented stone chips put in by Enzo himself. I would give it away for a mere $80K!!!

    ;-)
