I am an admitted lurker on this board and am hooked. I have just began my search for my first Ferrari. Have my sights set in on either a 355 or 360. Still focusing... Any help/advice offered from members and "rides" in Northern VA area would certainly be appreciated.

Hello Richard, my Stradale is over at FoW's shop - I'd be happy to meet you there and take you for a ride in it. I assume you've kicked some tires over there?

    cheers, will

You don't happen to have any pictures of your M's do you, specifically your M5? They're quite sexy in my opinion

A Berkeley and a Mini in the same thread! Great cars, gentlemen.

Bill, have you joined the microcar & minicar club? Their publication "Minutia" is worth the nominal dues. My wife and I are looking for a great condition Fiat 500 - not nearly as exotic as the Berkeley, but still fun.

To tell you the truth, the Mini and Vespa attract much more attention, and much more favorable attention, than our Ferrari.

At the last Ferrari of Washington track event, we had two Minis on track - one belonged to Ralph of FoW, from whom we bought our Mini (not to mention one or two Italian cars), and ours - lots of fun, though Ralph beat me up. So tape up those headlights and come out to the track ....

    Great thread.

    Will

Bill, just looked at your site - "fnader" - took me a second, but I love it. You've got some nice cars. Is the Corvair pic from Summit? Wow.

    Thanks for the kudos!

Yes, I am an active member of the Microcar Club, though I haven't been to a meet since Madison in 2003. You're the third person I've heard from recently that's looking for a 500... they seemed to have all disappeared. Last similar thing to tempt me was a $2000 1960 Bianchina project (recently for sale in MI). But I'm trying to work my way into LESS projects, not more! If I run across a 500 I'll let you know.

Not certain which track picture you mean. If the one on the home page, that is my very tired '66 Corsa at the British Show and Go at Gingerman in Michigan. In the files are pix of the same car at Black Hawk (IL) and on the ice in Hustiford Wisconsin for ice racing (autocross).

The white Yenko is pictured in its one and only time out under my ownership at VIR... I hope to run a club day or two at Summit Point, a track I've not been on since I moved back to the area 18 months ago. The only 2005 event I'm actually registered for is the Stinger Reunion (where we try to get all of the track-capable Stingers together for a weekend) up at Beaver Run. (Last year it was actually at SP and I couldn't make it!)

Very nice Minis you both have! Like you, I likely get more attention tearing around in my Mini than anything else I've driven (though the Berk T60 comes close).

Currently I find myself with about a half dozen cars that need painting (including my 308)... and can't find that happy medium between concours paint at $6-10k and MAACO at $500. Everything I have is a driver...

    Bill

NICE! An Avus Blue E34. Best color for that car. So pretty and so, so rare. Hard to tell from the pics, but is the interior Light Silver Grey? Awsome car. The others ain't bad either!

Steve said it, that C4s is stunning.

Its funny I have had quite a few cars similar to your collection, but never had the room to keep more than 4 or so at a time (two in garage 2 out).

New house new garage big car collection coming.

Bill, I'm giving you a standing ovation...anyone that could own a Cassini Coupe Matador and an NSU Prinz deserves a lot of respect.

NICE!! and keep the collection weird!
