    Hi there all

Been lurking for ages and thought it was about time I registered )

I've been a Ferrari nut since goodness knows when and an owner since 1995. The car in question is a '91 Testarossa and it's done it's fair share of FOC track days at Silverstone and Thruxton which to be honest is the only place you can really enjoy the full potential of the car!

Anyways here I am and I intend to post as and when I've got anything worthwhile adding

I should add I own and run the car with my father and hope to attend some meets in the not too distant future as/when family commitments allow

the car is most definately getting to the point where it could do with some work cosmetically especially the rear valance where the exhausts protrude

I have to say I love the car but so many people seem to dislike the car visually which I've never really understood

It's the only Ferrari I've ever driven so I've no idea how it compares to contemporary Ferraris but I imagine it is quite an old fashioned driving experience. I very much doubt if my wife could even press the clutch pedal down!

I have to say when the flat-twelve is on full song it does send a shiver down the spine!!

Such a shame Ferrari have abandoned the mid-engine configuration for the twelve cylinder cars

I know what you mean. But i was having a conversation with a well versed Ferrari mechanic last week and he agreed with me that the Testarossa is a fabulous looking machine. Very 80's styling I know but sure beats the modern stuff for road presence.

How about if they've got 2 ? Have they got 25% more than you?
    Or just lower fuel bills?

I agree it is very distinctive and pretty much unmistakable. As for road presence people do tend to move over fairly quickly!

luckily we both share the same ethos, the car is there to be driven! I don't get to drive it as often as I used to but then again when I do it makes the experience even more special

I think now the car is getting older it's even more enjoyable. One of my colleagues said his Mitsu Evo whotist would blow the Testarossa away and I don't doubt it quite honestly but do I care? not in the slightest

Funny, because there is a guy that comes down the Lion who owns a testarossa with his father.

Glad I didn't welcome him aboard as I would have looked a right charlie, and that isn't my ethos!
