OR... they could market them as wheels to highlight brakes/wheel well/ suspension items during car shows and still be able to roll the car on them.

I actually had an idea similiar to this in HS. (7-8 years ago) except my idea was the real deal and made use of electro magnets. Needless to say I have a few kinks to work out when it comes to pot holes and sudden stops..... One day I hope to be able to fund the R&D just to make a set for myself. Just so I could say "hell yea, it worked!". :)

I would only do that if i had BIG brakes and also, heat dissipation is a question mark, and lastly, the brake dust issue, other than that, seems nice looking, just wonder about scrapes; what is it lexan?

It seems to be a fake.....would be cool if real and had a big break kit....would look crazy on the interstate.

The japanese made a motorcycle with these magnetic rims back in the early 90's. My friend that is a mech at Mckenna Porsche showed it to me on an old clip of a TV show called Beyond 2000 or Beyond Tomorrow as it was rebranded. I did a google search and lost interest to prove this.

My question on the wheel itself stems from the fact that I can't find any acceptable lugs to keep it attached to the hub.

A friend of mine had one of those "Invisible Hoods" back in 2003..
