Any one own this beauty?? Is this italian or any porsche design included?? I drive that car 10 years ago o PC Need For Speed I ) Image Unavailable, Please Login
Ahh thanks It looks like a 993 Carrera from front and the remaning body is like a Italian style. Interesting car isnt it?
Sure don't hear much about Isdera these days & that Commandatore is a beaut! Always thought their Imperator (nee Mercedes CW 311) looked pretty awesome as well, though their Spyder struck me as a bit ungainly.
This car is owned by the swiss industrial Albert Klöti, he wanted to have "his" own car. The engine is built by AMG
The Commendatore 112i is still for sale as well as another Imperator 108i. If someone is seriously interested, you should contact Mr. O. Schulz jr. directly at Isdera in Stuttgart/ Warmbronn (Germany) for further technical Information. It is called Isdera Commendatore 112i not Isedera Commandatore . The cars attached are Isdera Imperator 108i. Both can still be ordered from new as far as I know if someone is a seriously interested! The Imperator can be adapted to various Versions of the Mercedes V8 and the Commendatore to the old Mercedes V12 NA, which was used in Mercedes SL 600 R129 and Pagani Zonda and new Mercedes V12 Biturbo, although the last one wasn`t done yet. The Commendatore has a top speed of 332 kph (approx 207.5 mph) at 420 PS due to its very low Cd of 0.30 and low frontal area. The company is located in near Stuttgart (Germany) not far from DaimlerChrysler (Mercedes-Benz) and Porsche headquarters. It was the only company ever allowed to carry the Mercedes-Benz Star Logo officially besides Mercedes itself. That`s why there are several Isdera with the Mercedes Star embleme and several with the Isdera Eagle embleme. www.isdera.de (still a little bit under construction) If someone can speak German you can find the leading Isdera Forum at http://www.carpassion.com/de/forum/isdera/ as well as a 130 page Thread of an Isdera Imperator reconstruction: http://www.carpassion.com/de/forum/isdera/11280-isdera-imperator-108i-130.html Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
what is the item on the roof above the driver for? It appears to be some sort of mirror? What is that for? Sorry if it has already been discussed.
I am in love with the Commendatore 112i from many years,it was in Need For Speed 2 (1997). If i understand well, the protoype that was on eBay several months ago (the owner asked for a starting bid of $3,000,000.00.) was the only Commendatore in existance? Miltonian: that photo is really rare...where did you find it? Edit: i find this Isdera 108i related video...funny for me!
I found that picture years ago in a magazine called "Auto Classic Weekly", from June 3, 1992. Here is the complete clipping. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yeah,i love these names, Commendatore and Imperator. So,about 50 Imperator were ever made? I read on the Carpassion forum that the Imperator built are 30.... Which could be this car value today?
I was fooled when the Zonda was first released thinking it was the new Isdera and was love at first sight. I was disapointed when i found out it was a new company. I have a challenge for fast Ashleys"Fast Inc" go and find me an Isdera Imperator 108 and 112I, i bet they couldn't find it.
Anyone remember that Video Game for the NES "Spy Hunter"? There was a an Imperator 108i on the front cover which i discovered today after owning the game for nearly 20years!. I wish i could post pictures of the cover but if anyone gets the chance, go and look it up on google. The car itself was suppose to be a Lamborghini Countach that was white with two orange stripes down the middle like a GTS. Its real name is the Interceptor.
Wow! Cool info...thank you ! I cannot find a savable cover picture from Google,so i'll link here a scan of the cartridge itself,in which the Imperator is visible, however.
