    Ok, heres the Italian dilema:

    I currently own:
    3 x Lambrettas
    2 x Vespas
    1 X Aprilia Scooter
    1 x Aprilia Sports bike
    1 x Fiat X1/9
    1 X MG Midget
    1 X Ford Capri 3.0s
    All in pristine concours condition.

1: Do I sell EVERYTHING and buy an immaculate Ferrari GT4?
2: Do I sell the MG and Capri and buy a Fiat 500?
3: Do I sell eveything and keep the money for a rainy day?
    4: Do I do nothing?

    Any advice appreciated!

I like variety, but at some point the ROI is not worth it - you have to maintain them all and you do not have the time to enjoy them all.

I would go for something in the middle - a daily driver, a nice Alfa GTV or Lancia Fulvia and a nice Bike. Just my $0.02...

Sell everything and start building your way to another diverse collection. Take your time, that way you have fun with each purchase.

Maybe buy an old Ducati, an old Alfa or even an old TVR or Lotus. Rekindle your passion for all things automotive.

Just remember, there are people like myself out there that would love to be in your shoes - make us proud!

Excuse my ignorance but what does ROI mean?

    Choice 1: Option 1
    Choice 2: Option 5 - sell 1 x Fiat X1/9, 1 X MG Midget, 1 X Ford Capri 3.0s; Buy Alfa 105 series GT or Spider; You won't regret it.
Pictures of Clae's immaculate Euro GT/4 and an gorgeous Alfa coupe.
    How can you go wrong?

    Return On Investment.

Given the scope of your collection and bond to it, we can't tell you what to do. Are you really willing to sever ties with all these things?

Return on Investment - as in - having the time to drive/ride all these toys to enjoy them. I understand that for some people the restoration and tinkering with the toys is worth it too - it is just that for me - I like to really use them and drive them and it is getting hard with many toys.

I currently take care of 5 cars and one bike (one of the cars is not mine and another is my wife's - so only 3 are "my" toys) and it is getting to be just a little too much for me. I am thinking about maybe consolidating my portion down to 2 cars and 2 bikes or maybe even just 2 cars and one bike.

The black things? There air scoops so the engine gets more air.

Good news...1 x Lambretta, Capri and Midget nearly sold, cant bring myself to part with the X1/9 though!
I admit the Alfa is lovely, I drive aSportwagon as my everyday car, but the GT4is also stunning and its a Ferrari!

Yep, I think youve got it just about right!

Alfa 156 Sportwagon as my daily driver,

Ferrari GT4 as my Sunday car,

And keep the Aprilia Sports bike too!

    Get rid of the rest!

option #34: sell everything but the X and the bike, then do an alfa V6 conversion on the X. i really love the look of the GT4, but not quite as much as the X.

Thank You, sorry for the late reply.
Unfortunetly there aren't many 500's for sale so i suggest go to your local mechanic and ask him if he knows of any for sale because they usually might know of one and can get more details.
Or go to ebay that's where i got my car from, it was somewhat a local car in the nearby desert so i went to take a look at it and bought it.
    Good luck.
