Like most twirling my thumbs and on the list with my local AD. Have several Rolex models but older.
Family vacation coming back, saw Watches of Switzerland at Heathrow. Popped in and first thing out of their mouth was no Rolex for sale. LOL. I did see they carried Tudor. So I picked up a Tudor Black Bay 58 in S&G.
Very surprised on the initial feel. Heavy and with my rattle test, the watch was rock solid. The dial turns with loud crisp clicks. The crown is heavy. Looks nicer than the price tag.
I come home and to my surprise, I get a call from my local Rolex AD saying they have 2 watches in for me. One happened to be the Sub in 2 tone with black dial. Very similar to the Tudor.
Rolex is still much better but not by much. Brand no doubt but in quality, so far they are neck and neck. Did I mention the Tudor S&G is heavy! Image Unavailable, Please Login

I assume you are aware they are the same company, much like Toyota and Lexus. I'm curious is there are differences beyond styling cues.

Yes I know Rolex started Tudor. I am sure they share parts/design to some degree.
I am not good at internal movement knowledge as of yet, but as far as the crown action and bezel "click" sounds, they are both spot on. Very satisfying turning the bezel on both models. The bracelet clasp is great also. Wish they had the micro adjustment like the Sub. If the Tudor was plated gold, I would have not purchased it.
I inquired about the new Tudor GMT "root beer". Surprise but all sold out. Looked on Chorno24 and you know it, on sale for over msrp. Just silly.

Just pulled out both watches out of the case and turned the bezel on both. The sub sound is higher pitch clicks. The Tudor is more subtle and smoother. Ever so slightly but man the Tudors sounds so nice. Trivial I know my friends... ;)

I've got a black bay bronze, and the bezel sound/feel is much deeper and more substantial than my deepsea.
