Karting tomorrow

Would love to participate in future events but cannot make it this Saturday.

Also can't make it on such short notice. Are these 125cc 6-speed shifter karts, or the Rotax? My brother and I would rent "shifters" regularly at Bridgehampton a couple of years ago, It was intense!!!

I've done this twice with the group that is at Englishtown this weekend. It's a lot of fun -- the karts are a little underpowered -- they use Honda 10HP 4-stroke engines and are governed to maybe 45MPH -- but they handle pretty well and the typical 6 or 8 hour endurance race format is fun (it's a different format this weekend). I think this year they are using faster carts or removing the governers, but I think they are still 4 strokes. I will go out again if they offer 2-stroke carts, but I have to say that the good thing about the 4-stokes is that they are pretty safe for novices like myself. I talked to Jay a while back about offering 2-strokes, he offers 2-strokes for his driving school sessions but was having trouble finding a 2-stroke kart that was durable enough for his race series.
