How many FChatters like his music? I've been a fan for years and love his Caribbean-country-rock sound. He has become the new Jimmy Buffet. I went to his show in Atlanta last night and it was great. He even had Ivan from Ivan's Cottages and Campground on Jost van Dyke, BVI on stage playing the guitar in one set. By the way, New Years at Foxy's and a few libations with Ivan is a must if you like Caribbean travel...Chesney plays with Foxy and Ivan in a little local band off and on throughout the year...http://www.b-v-i.com/JostVanDyke/default.htm

Why do we need a new Jimmy Buffett when we still have the old one?

Renee Zellweger dumped him because he must of finally took off his hat and she saw he was bald. I like the old Jimmy Buffet better.

While I have been a Parrot Head since the late 70s, JB is getting a little long in the tooth and his music has lost some of its authenticity IMHO...his newer songs are too pop compared to his great ballads of the past...after all, he is living in New England and is more interested in flying his airplanes and selling t-shirts than cruising the islands ...he is just no longer the Caribbean get drunk and screw rock and roller he once was...I suppose that's what a little age will do to you...Chesney has taken over that role quite nicely.

I like chesney, but have been a JB fan for longer. I must say that I've never linked the two together.

Listen to the lyrics of Chesney's songs...they are mostly about the BVIs...Jost van Dyke and St John (where is lives part of the year) in particular...along with party songs like Buffet used to specialize in...I still like JB, but I now find myself listening to Chesney more and more...Be as You Are and No Shirt, No Shoes, No Problem are my two favorite CDs so far...

He does seem to be popular with the ladies. At the concert last night the ratio must have been 3 to 4+ females to 1 male.

From what I heard from one of his friends is that he didn't give up the ladies after his marriage...but, that is just a rumor...

Hard to know exactly, she wanted a family ASAP and he was unwilling ...or unable....to oblige.

An annullment under "false representation" or something...very strange wording, for a six month divorce..

    Do you know, Frank?

Maybe he's better at math than I was:

25% support due for first child,

10% additional for the next child...

    and so forth.....LOL!

From what I see/hear, neither Buffet nor Chesney cater to the "old-school" country-western fan...they are their own jaundra of music... Caribbean-get- drunk- roll & roll...with a country flare...

They likely just agreed to end the marriage that way so they can both say they are single and not divorced...in fact, from a legal standpoint they can say they were never married...

I have listened to the Dead every day for the last 47 years and will keep doing so as long as I can still hear. I find musical acts today more like carnival performers of old. Since when do people have only one name and why do they pick names better suited for pets?

Dead Head stickers can show up anywhere.
Here's a photo from off of the internet.
Not sure whose car it is, but it looks like a good one!

I was suprised at how small he is, met him a few times in Vegas at The Palms events. The ladies do love him, especially the Playboy Playmates he pays 1500 a night lol. He had a hot blond that claimed was his tour manager then business manager that wrangled his ladies for the night. She said was safer for him to pay for it instead of just hooking up old fashioned way because of liabilities. As far as his music I can take it or leave it but heard he does put on a great show....I know he is worth several hundred mil so must be doing something right.

I have an artist paint mine on the cars I plan on keeping. I grew up with the dead, traveled with the band for 4 years from ages 16 to 20, and if it were not for John Dawson of the N.R.P.S. I don't think I'd have made it to 25!
