    Kimi is ahead of Bottas by 14pts after the BrazilianGP 2018.

    If Kimi finishes 4th at Abu Dhabi, he finishes 3rd in the WDC.

    If it wasn't for those 3 DNF's, by no fault of his own, he would be a lot closer to Seb and we would still be in the hunt for the WCC. Unfortunately things like this happen in a season.

    To me, possibly the best part of the latter half of Kimi's season - aside from the win in Austin - is that he seems to actually be enjoying himself. Whether it is an interview in which he is asked about his motivation and responds "it is always a problem...", or him poking fun at himself on Instagram (a picture of him standing on the podium in Brazil while Lewis dances with the presentation girls is titled "Me in party mode"), Kimi seems to be enjoying both the racing and the adulation that he receives from his fans. I can't speculate on what it is that has driven this change - married life may agree with him or he may just appreciate what he has now that it is near the end - but it is nice to see, and a pleasant counterpoint to others, like FA, who leave on less generous terms.

    Interesting new helmet design (not the paint job). I didn't realize they got rid of the Zylon strip at the top of the visor, but it appears they did by reducing the height of the visor cutout to lower the top of the opening. It looks odd like too big of a forehead if that makes sense. I prefer the look of the Zylon strip...it was like Mansell's helmet with a big visor shield with logos on it.
