Very nice, we'll have to wait for the repairs and spoiler to see if it can break the Zonda lap record.
    Thanks for sharing.

    I voted no.

I think it is one ugly car. And there is absolutely no reason to have the much horsepower with no traction control.

The Porsche Carrera GT has killed enough people already. Won't anyone get the hint?

Porsche Carrera GT is even more balanced than the Koenigsegg, better weight ratio, and handles better.

After watching this video, i am even more convinced that both the Zonda F and the MC12 are the world's best supercars.

Oh, please. I am willing to wager you are also of the belief that guns kill, not the people firing them!

    Actually thats a negative.

Grew up around guns. People are the ones that have to point the gun in the right direction. They are the ones at fault.

And the Porsche 930 was almost uninsurable. So what?

My only point is, what possible reason is there to not have a traction control system in the car, especially if you have the option of turning the traction control off. In a car that cost that much, why not give people the safety net, so everyone doesn't destroy such a unique car...

    koenigsegg, hell yeah.

no traction control, tons of hp. sounds alot like a F40 type of idea to me, but yet we all file into line behind the F40, but not the koenigsegg?

im sure the zonda F is a nice car, but its so fiddly. i mean look at the gauge cluster. is it telling me the statistics of the car, or is it trying to be the center of attention in the louvre? when i look down, i only want to see the speed, temperatures (and maybe boost pressure if so equiped).

just like the people that like the F40 over the enzo, because its just a more raw performance machine with out all the computers, this still holds true here. (although if memory serves, a zonda doesnt have traction control as seen in top gear, so im not sure as to where that argument leads). paddle shifts might be faster, but theres nothing like a notchy gear lever and a really heavy clutch to remind you that this is real car.

like clarkson said on the first koenigsegg test, the italians have the latin passion, but the koenigsegg has a northern eurpopean cold and calculated style to it. perhaps its my personality, but that (the northern european one) appeals more to me

i'd definately like to see a substantial wing on the CCX though, or at least some ground effects. i might be crazy, but not that crazy

    Your point?

Guns have a safety that has to be disabled before they can be fired. Why shouldn't cars? They are both just as deadly.

Given the choice of only one, between the other cars in that price range, no, I wouldn't buy one. I would take a Carrera GT or Zonda F over it.

That being said, I love the car. Its styling really grabs me, I just like the other 2 I mentioned more.

If the option was purely to buy a Koenigsegg without the chance of another supercar then I'd jump at the chance. However Zonda F for me all the way, stunning looks and Italian passion not to mention that noise :D

    Ferrari Addict,

At the performance levels this and other cars like it are capable of, traction control is little more than a false sense of security. Traction control WILL NOT save your azz if you really screw up at high speed....physics doesn't really give a damn.

In my mind, the lack of traction control simply makes this more of a driver's car (much like the F40, and my modded 930). Alas, there are those of us who don't like it when the rearend steps out and the nanny light comes on & saves the day.

P.S. - I'll take my Koenigsegg in Black with a Twin Turbo Setup. Make mine extra deadly.

The Segg more than pays for itself when you pull up to the crowded club and OPEN THE DOORS.

Very true... but at the same time, especially when getting acquianted with the car, with that much horsepower, it would be extremely easy to accidentally punch the gas pedal making a turn in traffic and ending up in another car.

Why would having a traction control system that you can turn on and off be worse then not having one at all? It would allow the people that want the car to feel a little safer driving it under any conditions (for instance if you are out for a drive and then it starts to rain...) while at the same time being able to turn it off at the flip of a switch and go balls to the wall. Traction control systems really do work at the speeds that most sane people will be driving it at. If an insane person is driving, it wouldn't matter, they'll find a way to kill themselves regardless. So what harm is there in putting it in?

If I could afford it I would definatly buy a 'Segg. Preferably in black. The doors are almost worth the cost of admission alone. They are just to cool.

I like the look and the doors are insane, but i voted for 'may be'. The V8 engine originating from Ford doesn't seem to give a very exotic image, and there seems to be some problem with the reliability (watch 5th gear). Plus, for the price of a koenigsegg, you can buy a zonda with a proper v12 and very good build quality.

The CCX has an engine made by them, not Ford. The Ford V8 is found in the CC8. The CCX has a twin supercharged engine, too.
