Pretty sure I saw a black Koeningsegg today on the "north shore"

drivin' down the road, and I see something black heading my way... first thought a TR, as it was low, mean, wide in the rear with scoops.
front headlights are 360ish. No spoiler. Well put together. Unfortunately, was on the way to work, so could not chase it down. Had Euro plates on back. No "cheese grater" stuff in the side scoops.

here is what it was not:
    kit car
    F
    L
    Lotus
    Saleen
    McL
    P
    Bugatti
Ascari (can you bring 'em here?)

Me thinks it was a Koeningsegg!
    anyone seen one around?
I saw a black one in Monterey this past summer.
    I almost gave myself whiplash!

    awefully cool!

I'm guessing Mosler or Ultima, but they do have Koenigseggs in America, so it's a possibility.

I saw a silver Mosler in Monterey (below). This was not as big and bulbous. The Mosler does have a bit of a "kit car" look to it. This car did not have the "ribbing" that the Mosler I saw had.

Not a Mosler - once again (after looking @ Moslers web site), it still has a bit of a "kit car" look to it, big and bulous too.

My wife saw it yesterday too!

That would be crazy. I know of 7 in the U.S. I'd be great to have #8 right here in Chicago!

Vegas is out, New York is in. From what I've heard the place at Ceasars is out of business, but the newly opened Universal in NY is an official dealer.

I would have sworn I had seen a silver one last time I was in Chicago, but it was too wild of a claim to make without any picture proof. But the rims did look very much like that Mosler's so I wonder if I saw the Mosler

I think I have seen something similar to what you guys are describing, only it was a year or two ago about a mile away from my house in the Western suburbs. Dark, well built, sleek, if I remember correctly it had Mosler/Koenigsegg-ish rims.

At that time, I wasn't very familiar with the Mosler, so when I got home that day I looked it up, but what I saw was too small to be a Mosler...and I am sure if I saw a Koenigsegg I would have known it. If anything, it looked like this Helem PRV V6, the shape was almost the exact same and I remember the rear lights being something like this, although I thought that was highly unlikely considering only 2 or 3 were made.

I read that a Koenigsegg holds the record for the highest speeding ticket ever recorded: 242 mph... in Texas!!!!!

I wonder what happened to the driver when he was caught? What would a Texas cop do? Scary only to think about it

I've tried and tried to find out what this car was.... to no avail.
the Helem is interesting, but still has a bit of the "kit car" look.
the car I saw appeared "production", i.e. well put together.
    maybe it was a UFO!
