    Apparently it's coming indeed.

Personally, I'd keep the hard top car...:).

For me, this is a big surprise. So many rumors have been going around, but I finally stumbled across some images. A Spider variant is on its way. Thank you for your reply. And I would keep the roof as well ;-)

150 of the luckiest people on Earth. So who will qualify? Peter and Ben obviously. Going to be interesting to see who ends up with one. Congrats to them all, I can't wait to see pictures!

Will it be a retractable top or a targa?

Gotta be a targa. It makes sense. How could it be any thing else? There doesn't seem to be room. Also, the F60 America was targa, The 599 Aperta was target. It just seems that the LaFerrari Spider would be, then again we'll have to wait and see.

So is the box/key the invitation potential buyers are given?

I wonder then if it will be just a removable fabric piece, carbon fiber panel or a flip-top glass like the SuperAmerica.

Makes total sense though since their main competitor (918) was a roadster. Looking back to the F50 and then Enzo, it's a wonder that Ferrari didn't do a run of Enzos with the MC-12 targa top.

I understand so. More to the point, where was the box photographed or where did the image come from?

Makes sense. Easy and quick $300-400M in revenue for very little work.
