I'm planning on a long weekend, mid July at Lake Geneva.
Me, 3 kids, wife, some others (my parents, maybe my in laws).
Want to water ski, jet ski.
I suppose there is always "Timber Ridge", but I'd like to be right on the lake.
    Any suggestions on accomodations?
It has been forever since I've been to the Abby. Are there other places? Nice place that will not cost me an arm, leg, and another appendage?
    thanks!

You might be able to find private accomodations. I had good luck finding a place in Michigan on www.VRBO.com (vacation rental by owner). I have since used this site to rent out my condo in Naples, and it has been a great pipeline of business.

Keefe has the real estate concession pretty well sewn up in Lake Geneva. 414 248 4492.
I don't know how much they trade in rentals but am thinking the agents may have some time on their hands.

Give the abbey another try. They have done tones of mods since you been there last. Ive been a abbey member for years and watch it all go down. + you can rent jet skies right there from Jerry Marine, boats everything you want. Lots of Ferrari parking too.

    I checked out the Abby.
It ain't cheap in the summer!
They also do not really have a room to accomodate me + family (3 kids). They have some "Villa's", which are essentially guest houses with 2 br, 2 bath, but are not available for the weekend I'm looking at. Heck a room with one bed and one bath for 5 days runs $1700 before taxes! No "suites", with 2 bedrooms in the main hotel (my 3 kids are under 9, so no solo rooms for them!)
Probably stay at "Timber ridge", the water park on the campus of the Grand Geneva. Been there a bunch with the kids, they love it, and it is about 60% the cost of the Abbey.

Mid July.... come up to the BRIC.

Send the kids and the wife to the pool, and you go to the track for 4+ days...what could be better?

Victorian Village is booked up, try the Osthoff... they often times have some of the more "elite" rooms available.

    Just throwing it out there.....
