in Lchat there is a thread on Lambo dealers, in the list is: LAMBORGHINI NEW ENGLAND (IPC) 221 Andover Street Peabody, MA 01960 Tel +1 978 573 5555 Fax +1 978 977 4940 Their website: www.lamborghininewengland.com Anyone know who they are? Mark
they dont open til the spring of this year. this should be cool. i heard rumors of one that was going to come to mass a while back but didnt think it would happen, as we dont really have the largest lamborghini market, it would seem to me. but, hey, no complaints here.
It's the same people who own BMW of Peabody. About a month ago they (BMW of Peabody) had a Murcielago in that staging/prep room.
My friend is a salesman @ BMW of Peabody and he said that they are starting to sell Lambos. I guess one of the owners Murci was down there for a while. he didn't know when they were going to officially start selling them though.
Very interesting. BMW of peabody used to look after my X5 (now replaced with a Lexus since Bimmer don't make a 7 seater). They were great people to deal with. I talked to them about a 6 series when I was shopping in the fall. I ended up with a CLK55 instead, the 6 series is the best looking of the bangle cars, but the convertible is a bit ugly - esp the rear glass. I look forward to an exotic dealer I can bug locally on a Saturday morning NB The Porsche guys at Ira (also in Peabody) definitely do not qualify IMHO. Rather too full of themselves about the GT3/GT2 for my taste - the classic "oh the first GT3 is for the guy that owns the dealership". They had a GT2 sitting there for quite a while and couldn't grasp the concept it was worth way less than list. People complain about Ferrari and "the list", but the owner of the dealership taking the first car and flipping it himself!
ooh maybe i'll take the bird down there and see what they'd give me for a trade in for a Countach.... hell, i'll take a Jalpa or Espada, LOL
FYI, Bud Lyons and his partners also own Porsche of Nashua, in addition to BMW (and Mini) of Peabody. All dealerships are class acts. It'll definitely be interesting to have a "professional" Lambo dealership here. vty, --Dennis
They also own Land Rover of Peabody and Acura of Peabody. I live right around the corner from their new Service Center in Centennial Park in Peabody... I wonder if they'll be servicing the Lambos there? I wouldn't mind seeing more of them driving around the area!
This is exciting news! I am up in Boxford, about 10 minutes from BMW of Peabody, nice dealer, good people. Will look forward to viewing the collection of wonderful Lambos they will have in display! Have a soft spot for Lambos, my father owned several many years ago. Dan360, regarding Ira Porsche, you are spot on. Remember looking at a GT2 they had outside, dirty in the rain, bird crap on the roof with a sold tag next to the $180k sticker. If I were the buyer, would not be pleased! John.
You may be suprised. Here in Canada, with a simliar climate to New England, Lambo's are doing pretty well, since they are a decent 'year round' car. For example, Vancouver, which gets A LOT of rain in the winter, has already sold 19 Gallardo's in the past year. In snowbound Ontario, I've even seen a Murcielago and a few Gallardo's in the middle of winter. Heck, snow tires are even an option on the G-car. So, it just might happen that New England ends up being a good Lambo market. Oh, and GO PATS!
Wow.... right in my own neighborhood (well, almost) Hey, I am impressed! I hope they do OK in our area.
Any more news on this place? The latest Dupont Registry magazine(gallardo and 997 on the cover) has an ad in it for Lambo of New England. It says they have an 05 Murcielago and 05 gallardo. I'll take a picture of it later
I posted in another thread, but I saw a Murcielago and a Gallardo in Boston already. Got to talk to the owner too. Maybe he bought them from the new dealership?
theres plenty of lamobrghinis in the boston area already. this doesnt mean ther dealerhsip has opened.
I was just guessing because they were new cars with very little miles. So the cars must have been bought new. I'll write him an email and see if he responds.
Yeah, I was also very surprised to see Lambo of Toronto was pretty much the same size as Ferrari of Boston (where there is probably more money, really). They said Lambo's are selling great in Canada.
