Now that is funny.

 

It's kind of ironic that the body of Kim Jong Il was borne atop the roof of a stretch 1975 or 1976 Lincoln Continental limousine, as was his father's body in 1994 (on the NBC Nightly News they showed comparison photos of the car in the two funerals). When I think of Korean dictators, the last thing on my mind is an American luxury car named after the Great Emancipator. Seems to me that a ZAS, ZIL or some other Russian acronym-named American-car knockoff would have been more appropriate. On another note, I wonder what the North Korean Army's motorpool does for spare parts? They're not available for that vintage American car in Cuba, I don't believe! Fred

 

A lot of discussion in Germany yesterday reg. the various Mercedes Limos (at least 1 modern S-Class!) in that pathetic freak show!
North Korea is under blockade and Mercedes Benz told the press yesterday that they don`t have any business connection or a distrubutor in that country.

Seems that those cars came into the "Heaven of socialist workers" via their friends in China...
