Liquid Earth?

Liquid Earth? - Workers Find Strange Ground That Moves Like Jelly, Dig It Up With An Excavator! | Shock Mansion

I was assuming that there would be a water medium about half a meter down- gets stranger once the workers dig down to said depth and find that is bone dry.

Any ideas?

Seriously though that is plum crazy.

 

Doesn't look like a big mystery, a low point that has been filled in with loose material that probably had rain a short time before the video. A small example of liquefaction. Soil is interesting, if farmers till it too much they can destroy it. Many cities in the world are built on reclaimed land and that stuff can get real scary real fast.
