With John and Franco taking a break from the FQC to recharge for next year, who is interested in a local get together this fall while the weather is nice? Maybe take an afternoon cruise, pick a restaurant with a good parking arrangement, socialize around the cars for an hour and have a drink, then dinner. I would be willing to organize something, any interest or suggestions?

Children's Hospital is looking for a date for us to do the toy run in December. they want us to display the cars for a couple of hours and hand out toys to the kids. if you want we could wait and do something then. Maybe a drive up river road and lunch at hymel's. Just an idea.

With some advance notice on a date I can approach the HardRock Casino here in Biloxi (or one of the others)? It would be a nice cruise over and all of the resorts have a nice parking area up front for VIP's? But if you want to keep it over in Nawlins I'll zip over in mine. Joe

The fact that this thread has been viewed 100 times with 3 replies may not bode well for either...Ha! Kelly, I think Dec. 20th would be good for the toy run. If not, the 13th I guess. I am up for that again whatever the date, count me in.

I would still like to do something earlier that is just about the cars and enjoying them. I am going to check into a couple of places and see what i can come up with. Working around the LSU schedule in November is tough, but maybe the 15th.

TROY was rescheduled to the 15th. I may have to sell my tickets for that one though since my wife is planning a girls weekend so that would free me and Enzo up for the 15th

Well the usual date formats are 13 Dec. 2008 , Dec. 13, 2008 , 12-13-08 , 12/13/08 . Hey speaking of Tulane have they ever considered having a football program?

I think they play at Tad Gormley before the bigger, badder, high school teams play.

Oh also it looks like they might play from time to time at the New Orleans prison.

The Toy run and get together both sound good to me. I wish the local Ferrari group did more together (car show, resturaunt run, whatever).

How's the food at Nuvolari's in Mandeville? I didn't make the connection to the driver until I recently heard an ad that it is named after the former Ferrari et al driver. Too bad they aren't open for lunch, seems like an appropriate spot for a northshore gathering.

I do like the idea of Italian for the obvious.....but I was also thinking Ralph's on the Park. Take a drive for a couple of hours for those that want and then pull up along the park. Good place to line the cars up across the street and enjoy. We can get the dining room upstairs.
