    Hello fellow Fchatters,

If anyone will be going down to MG dealer soon, can you drop me a PM? There is a car from there that I may purchase very very soon. I have never bought a car sight unseen before and I am kinda nervous about the whole thing. This is not my first Fcar. I also plan to get a PPI done.

Also, if anyone has any comments about Marshall Goldman, please post or send me a PM.

    Thanks a lot!!!!

I haven't bought from them, but have been there 4-5 times (used to live in Cleveland). They tend to get very nice cars and ask top prices for them. I looked at a 328 and TR there - both top-tier cars.

They have been in business forever and their showroom is probably the best in the midwest.

    Good luck!

I have been to MG several times to look at cars for other Fchatters. The salesman that I typically see is John Ashe. He is really nice and very knowledgable. He happens to be an owner as well with a red 575. Like bullfighter said they tend to get top shelf cars and ask top shelf prices for them. I have never heard any ill will toward them. Very good group to deal with. Good Luck

Oh no. Maybe its time to air some of our grievances. I resisted because I didn't want to tarnish their good reputation if my experience was an anomaly. But if there is a trend ensuing, maybe its time to share our experiences to protect our fellow FChatters!!!!

    Great idea.

I'd say keep details brief and also rate your experience from 1-10 would be helpful enough for me. We need a sticky thread for all regional dealers, independents and authorized.

Why keep details brief? I have a 2 page account written up. May as well get the whole truth out there.

I am giving them one last chance to do the right thing. In this economy, it is incredibly short-sighted to try and cheat a customer who purchased a $190,000 ferrari just to save $1,000 or so. But this is what they have chosen to do. Since I was initially given "their word" that they would take care of this, let's see if that word is worthless or not. I have always given people the benefit of the doubt until proven otherwise. Although I have been burned with this policy. I still choose to believe in the good in people first.

Several good people warned me about doing business with them, so I certainly can not say I was not warned.

We'll see how this ends up......

Same for me except it was considerably more than $1K. In the end, I did get an amazing car with low miles. But even the best and newest Ferraris can have problems. And those problems can cost a fortune to sort out.

Good luck. John Ashe himself is an AWESOME guy, and a stand-up individual.
The organization though....not so much. I bought a Porsche from them that I know they made $40k profit on, and they refused to provide the books (a cost of $50) with the car even though they were promised before the sale.

I'm interested to hear your experience.

All you have to do is look at his previous 18 posts and see he has been posing incognito for the dealership for some time now. Contributes in no other way to the forum.

So I put that down as a POOR MARK against Marshall Goldman if one of their salesman frequents this forum without an introduction and contributes bias opinion vailed in an objective posture for the purpose of deception.

If I got it wrong - would love to hear from the poster and I will offer regrets

    Otherwise

    Very!

    Tacky!

What, so you can screw over somebody else in the business as long as they're not a retail customer? That philosophy worked real well for SCC just recently on a Diablo.....

Mollycat, what a tool. I just read all posts since 2007. "Just stopped by looking at a car for my friend" "I heard there is a deposit" Hey look at this car, you might want to check it out, I saw it when I was looking at a car for my friend, it is awesome, here is their website, at least I think that is what it is, yeah, that's the ticket, adn I'm married to Morgan Fairchild, and I just gave brirth to 9 cats. Wow, I guess we should have known by the name:

    Molly:
plural -lies. Trademark. a brand of expansion bolt having a split, sleevelike sheath threaded at one end so that when inserted snugly into masonry the turning of the bolt draws the ends of the sheath together, thus spreading the sides.

    and Cat:
    Pu**y

So Mollycat is hardwarepu**y, or in latin based languages, pu**yhardware, or a tool!

    Profile isn't filled out either.

What a dumba$$ thing to do. I hope you come clean and straighten up and fly right.

Uh, I'm not in the business. I have never been anything BUT a retail customer. So don't feel too singled out!

Mike, I can't say I've ever seen this side of you ;)

Although, I cannot say I disagree. I hope Mollycat takes note of the situation, and is going to help in the process. Until then, I will make sure my friends steer clear of Marshall Goldman.

Many apologies, just think it is funny the shameless plugs and sly efforts to steer people to MG in the end has probably done more damage than anything else.

Isaac...just think....April 4th or 5th, or April 10th or 11th...I'll see if I can send these subliminally via facebook as well. ;-) Oh, since I'll be in Michigan, if the photo is done, I can just bring it back with me, is that cool?
