    Great pics!!!

I'm pretty sure it's a convertible version of the new GranTurismo, thats what it looks like to me.

PS, Looks like you had the same hotel room as me in the hotel. :)

Actually I wouldn't be suprised if that is the new rumored entry level Ferrari. The front does not appear to have the significant slope that that GranTurismo has. That is my guess. Great pics nonetheless.

I'm 100% that is a Maserati door handle... if that matters.

Yep I agree. It definitely is a Maserati door handle. Yet the wheels appear to be the modular wheels available on the 612. I am just thinking thinking it looks too different than the Granturismo coupe to be the convertible version. Maybe that is on purpose though :)

Yep - I would think the same! The car looks more as the now gone 4200GT-Spxder than a car based on the new GranTurismo-platform. And if its a cheaper Ferrari - why not with Maserati door handle?

    Ciao!

I read somewhere online, I don't remember where, that the GT will be released as a convertible in 2009. If I find it again, I will post it.

You could be absolutely correct. I just do not believe it is the convertible version granturismo. In the pictures the driver is sitting very low. Look at how much headroom the driver has. Also why would they go to such great lengths to change the rear tail lights if it was just the convertible version of the car? My gut tells me this is a totally different car than what the granturismo convertible will be. My gut isn't always right :)

I hope Napolis will chime in on what he thinks it is. wbaeumer has had good insight before regarding Maserati too. So him thinking it could be the entry level Ferrari makes me believe it could in fact be something special.

I'd still put money on it being a hardtop convertible of the new Maserati... Napolis says the new entry level Ferrari will be built on the old Maserati two-seater coupe frame that they were already further developing... this looks definitely like the new Gran Turismo because of the length of the cabin, also the exhaust is in the exact same spot.

Look at this pic, definitely looks like a back seat in there:

But the lines of the rear end are different to those of the GranTurismo! I don`t believe this! I asume that its a development car for the new small Ferrari!

You may be right, the new "Ferrari" is front mounted V8 and will be here sooner than later.

....REALLY???? BRAVO - you have eagle eys!! Darlingkkk, I have seen more protos with camouflage than you can imagine. Come to the Nuerburgring and you see them - 5 - 10 of them, every day!!!I Was on the very secret BOSCH-autodrome in southern Germany and saw no less than 57 ptotos within 1 day with more or less camouflage!

The rear end on this photo in Fiorano is much shorter than with the GranTurismo! Check the distance from the door to the rear wheelarch and you see the difference!

    Ciao!
