Just got an allocation for a 458 spider, and I am thinking of ordering it in matte white. Does anyone have any pictures or an advice on the three different matte white options?
I am familiar with the care of a matte finish, more looking for how it looks or actual pictures..

    Appreciate the help!

My thoughts on Matte finishes, they are cool when you see them at a car show and react by saying what an awesome colour etc.

Having it on your own personal car and living with it?

    No

Risky imo, you could say to yourself one day, what was I thinking ordering matte.

i would get a traditional color and simply wrap it in a matte finish of the color you wish.
    better for resale!

Agree 458 %. Skip the fad colors and go for something that you'd be willing to keep long term = something that you could sell to someone else should you decide not to keep it long term. If you really want matte white, wrap the car.

Sorry, but matte colors look like the car has primer on it. It's a fad.

True but wheels MUCH easier and cheaper to change.

I have a matte black G63 and when I first saw it I had to have it but now it is such a pain in the a**. So difficult to keep clean. The special soaps and waxes that you need to buy for matte paint are difficult to find and more often then not don't do the job. Scratches are very obvious no matter how light. I'd stay away from it at all cost.

I find matte colors look great in photoshoot, but have some sort of primer / unfinished feeling in real.
But then, that's just my taste.

3M does a clear matte vinyl that gives great results, I would go this way.

I've seen a matte white 458, but I don't have a picture. IMO, it just looks dull. Again IMO, it doesn't have the unfinished primer look as with matte black or dark gray; rather, it looks unwashed. Before committing to matte white, I think you really need to see one in person to make sure that you want to commit to it.

Frankly the matte whites I have seen are not attractive to my eye. However I saw a satin or semigloss finish (not on a 458) that I liked much more. Maybe that is a viable alternative and can also be wrapped.

Just watched it last night. Thought the same thing! lol

Was just talking to my tech at the dealer yesterday. We were talking about how over priced Ferrari is charging for many of its options. He described the exact color you mention here... said it looked incredible, but came in at a 60k option!!

60k not worth it. Probably get a red car wrapped in matte white for 10-15k and when you are sick of it take it off. I had a "frozen blue" matte BMW m5 on order for an additional 7500 but the maintenance was too much to deal with and I hear scratches are ridiculous so if you plan on ever driving your car I would stay clear of real matte finishes

Another option: Order it in gloss white and have it wrapped in X-Pel Matte finish protection film. It gives a very nice matte look over the factory color and provides nice protection of the finish below. Not as picky on cleaners, as well.
