I've got a LOT to celebrate as this year closes.
4 Churchill sized Montecristo's are going to go 'up in smoke' between now and Jan. 3.
Oh, and I'll probably re-aquaint myself with my Scottish friends, John and Glen...

 

Any chance these are the Alfred Dunhill Seleccion Suprema 1961's? If so, OH BOY!

 

Damn, I thought this was about the sandwich. I'm hungry now.

that would be a trademark issue, not a copyright issue. My favorite MC is actually the #2. It is not a 'speciale' nor even a difficult cigar to find; the quality is somewhat variable from box to box and cigar to cigar. But if you get a good one, it is brilliant- spicy, rich, smooth, and tasty right to the end. I also had some 'A' s that were a gift from the Gov't; I represented Cuba in connection with some litigation over the Cohiba mark several years ago and discovered the benefits of obtaining those cigars through lawful channels. Most sold today in the States are countefeits, or are badly handled and maintained, so you are often smoking the worst examples of the product.
My preference is still the Bolivar Belicoso Fino, and if you are in to 'rare,' the Davidoff Anniversario '80' which was made before the company lost its franchise down there. I tend to like Robusto style cigars, like the 'D' Partagas or Cohiba Robusto; I also like Double Coronas, especially the Partagas Luisitania, since it is a spicy smoke, and more interesting to me than the big Punch or Hoyo Doubles.

 

What the hell does all this have to do with sandwiches?

The only MC I will eat is from John Auscauga's Nugget in SParks, NV. Thick and real crispy, just awesome. I've eaten this one for about 30 years.

 

Been working on it 30 yrs? It must be enormous!

 

I'll take one with a Bolivar Coronas Gigantes por favor!

Or a nice Hoyo epicure numero dos!
