i did a few track days last yr at monticello and would like to go again but seems they arent renting track out anymore so its just for members. i just got an email from a 3rd party co (trd?) that is having a track day there but its $1250.

does anyone know of other clubs that will make monticello possible or is it really just member only? thanks

We did 2 days at Monticello last yr. And had The opportunity to do it again this year but decided to pass on it.

For the kind of money they want for a single day we can offer you 3 days on Daytona running the Rolex 24 Hr course.

Interesting. I thought this track was going to be members only, i.e., no riff raft allowed. I guess $2 million a mile gets expensive even for the big dogs, huh?

They eliminated outsiders to encourage more memberships but im not sure even that will help. I like the track bc its close by but while its great on paper with lots turns and long length, etc the reality is less. Wat glen is much more fun for example with its flowing turns. Other issue is that for an amateur track with no racing it doesnt seem so safe. Limited run off and a kink on the main strait that puts passing and passed cars too close together are two problems.

I would still like a day there this summer so if anyone knows of a way to do it let me know

Monticello is my favorite race track, I've been to many tracks and the 4.1 miles they have laid out are incredible. I too am interested in getting back there somehow. It is my hope that towards the end of the Summer Guardian Angel Motorsports / 6th gear has an event.

Even it is my favourite track too. But still I not manage to go there. Hope this summer I got chance to visit that tack with my friends.Although it is very expensive track I want to go there there and enjoy my driving.
