I have never in my life seen as many of them as what has come out in the last few weeks. After a record amount of rainfall in May here in the midwest, we are literally prisoners in our own house. If we go outside, we are literally swarmed within seconds. Anyone know if the "Mosquito Magnet" actually works? Any other products I should know about? Thanks, Jerry.

We were talking about this the other night and someone suggested building bat houses to attract bats. Apparently they eat a HUGE number of insects each day, including mosquitos.

    You don't have bat houses?!?

During the summer at dusk, my youngest daughter and I lie flat on our backs by the pool and watch a great airshow as the bats snipe bugs against the still backlit sky.

    Bats are great.

I believe that bats eat som mosquitoes, but they won't make a dent in the population. Regarduing the mosquito magnety, I'd be interested if anyone has any experiences. The ones I mean have a propane tank, etc.

A buddy of mine has a mosquito magnet and he swears by it. He lives in the woods in northern Minnesota and if it works there it would work anywhere.

Beware of the cheap imitations. The *real* mosquito magnet is the one you want.
