I had the opportunity to buy back a car I sold in 2007. A 1987 Euro spec Carrera. Moss green, i fell in love with this color, and regretted selling the car on a whim. We are getting the car to wake up after sitting since 2009 or so. Owner put only 1500 miles on it while he had it.

I know the car looks rough, but I had to save it. Going to put a duck tail and gold Carrera script on the car when its sorted. Car does run and and has great oil pressure. I am looking for a replacement euro DME as it has a intermittent no fuel injection pulse issue. Car has a Steve Wong chip in it as well.

PS: We have no idea why the Cert from Porsche has the car as an 83 SC, when its clearly an early 1984 3.2 Carrera.

Really like the the matching moss green interior... that has to be rare.

Was obviously built in late 83 (Sep-Dec), but it's still an 84 Carrera...

A Special Wishes car would usually have a letter designation on the tag under the hood and in the manual. Unfortunately, I can't remember the letters and the exact position, but that looks like a regular tag.

Cool, thank you. I was hoping you would comment. The car does have a metal plate in the drivers door jamb I need to take a pic of. It may have been for importation, but it has someones name on it. Ill see the cars Thursday, still working on my Slopenose Turbo.

The metal plate is for the DOT/EPA to show it was properly imported and converted. Did the car come with the importation papers? It is cool to have that and necessary in some states from what I remember. If you need to get them, I think you just need to contact DOT and they might be able to get you a copy. Not sure about this as it was many, many years since I had my Euro 635.

Found the Special Wishes letter. This is for a M491 Turbo Look and the Z in the lower right corner supposedly designates a Special Wishes car. Turbo Look question - Pelican Parts Technical BBS

Your VIN comes back as a 1984 RoW Carrera as RoW production started at 100001 and ended at 4033. If you look under the car, there tranny should have a cooler as that was RoW standard, plus the motor will have 231hp, IIRC.

First, congrats on your 930. Beast.
I had same green 81 SC and sold it-- regret it now. Photos don't bring that color to life. Enjoy!

Thank you. The green Carrera ia alive and on the road again. new clutch, bearings, axles, brakes, engine sensors, a bunch of gaskets, new fluids. Next are tires, and alignment. Going to replace the headliner, fix the sunroof, charge up the AC ( It was working) and put in a new carpet set. Car will be for sale in December.

i want to remove the Turbo tail as they look funny on a narrow body car. i am thinking of no tail at all, and do a bit of paint work.
