I bought a Xoom a few months back, WiFi version. I bought it primarily for work, but use it for Netflix at home with a HDMI to the TV, since I don't have a video out on my computer.

I played with the iPad and iPad 2. Both were really cool, but I think this is exactly what I needed.

I posted just to share, in case anyone was thinking about buying one. Im not a technology enthusiast so I don't know about unlocking and hacking.

I also just bought a Droid X2 last week, and I can tether my Xoom to the Droid via Bluetooth. I use it for GPS and stuff on the road.

expensive, but so far it has paid for itself.

I've been interested in getting a Xoom for quite some time now. (Un?)Fortunately, I don't have the funds to purchase one right now.

I'm now waiting until the holiday season to wait and see if they do any updating and come out w/ a Xoom 2.

Also, now that Google is going to buy Motorola Mobility, I'm wondering how that will affect the tablet business.

I've had a DroidX for just under a year now and I love it.

From what I understand, there is a Xoom 2 scheduled for September. I have also heard they might push it back.

I don't typically have money to buy things like this, but the timing was right and I had a 14 day return policy with Best Buy. Its worth every penny.

I'd heard the same as well.

If the Xoom 2 turns out to be a mediocre upgrade, then I can probably pick up a Xoom for significantly cheaper.

    We will see.
