I have an issue with the Nav on my 458 that i am hoping someone here may be able to help with... The location of the car is totally wrong, so although the nav 'works', it doesn't know where I am, HELP?

First trial i’do is detachment of the battery for a minute.
This usually solves a lot of issues ;)

And while we're on the issue, does anyone know if it's possible to update the map's? Last I checked I couldn't find anything. But driving round with maps from 2009 makes the nav less and less useful. I'm in Europe, but interested if there is an update in the US too as I haven't found anything.

Okay, tried the battery disconnect and reconnect procedure and it still thinks it’s 57 miles away from where I actually am [emoji853]

Regarding detachment of battery, I am trying to do that. With the radio on, I pull the lever at the base of the battery and the radio stays on. Am I doing something wrong?

You need to make sure EVERYTHING is OFF... that includes a/c, radio, fan, lights, everything. THEN undo the fast release clip on the battery and remove the cable from the terminal entirely... then follow the reconnect sequence in the owners manual... it’s not as simple as putting it back on after 1 minute either, so you must make sure you follow the correct procedure...

Also make sure you open the windows before you disconnect! If you don’t you run the risk of breaking the window if you try and open or close the door
