Just found this forum, very nice ! can anyone help me with info on a 365 GT4 2+2 ch.17183 (made in 1972, should be one of the first...) ? it looks very original, brown with beige internals... in good conditions, although will probably need some work on suspensions (especially on the rear). engine is fine, typical V12 sound/music. thanks, regards
Delivered new in Italia, to Mr. Sessa. 46th without the three first prototypes 49th with prototypes. No more infos.
thanks a lot ! so it's in the first 10% (if I remember right, F made 512 cars + 3 prototypes). Pictures are of when I've acquired it, since then I've replaced the steering wheel with an original one. The rest is in good conditions, except the dashboard: not easy to find the cover, I'm still searching... What's your F ? have a great day, cheers Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
521 cars + 3 prototypes. Informations I have delivered come from Hilary Raab Jr. Files, who's written a TELAIO book from the first Ferrari to the middle of the 400GT. He has been written with help of historians and Ferrari archives. The dashboard is one of the problem, most of the 365 GT4 2+2 dashboards have been replaced by leather. Your car looks very nice, I've other pictures I've found a few weeks ago on internet. I'm not owner, cause of I'm 25...My father owned a 5-speed 400i when I was a teenager. The car was sold in 2005, and then I stayed fond of this model. In 2009, the European Ferrari Club 400 has been created by a french guy, who has the same story as mine, but he 's 10 years older and has realized his dreams with a 400GT 5-speed and a 412 5-speed. I hope beeing on this way... Fastly we become friends and he asked me to join the Club, cause of my real & excessive passion. Today I'm in charge of the history of the model, and building a registry to count the survivors. I buy magazines in every languages, books, and do lots of research. So I can write on the website : actualities, car of the month, interview of the month, and most of the historic parts were made by me. I've met a few weeks ago a napolitan owner of 400 GT Automatic ex-Scheckter (please check the car of the month). We plan to come to Maranello this year, to celebrate the 40th birthday of the 365 GT4 2+2 presentation at Paris Salon October 1972. But it's not sure for the moment cause of the work It represents. We have to talk about ! Pleased to meet you, and staying at your disposition. Kind Regards Paul European Ferrari Club 400 www.f400club.com
book me in for the get-together next year at Maranello ! it sounds like a great idea and I'm sure my 365 will enjoy to be back home... Maybe in late spring ? or September ? I'd skip the hot summer months... anyway, I'll do my best to join who knows, maybe you'll come with your first Ferrari ?!? Stay well, regards Marco
Thanks Marco, Please contact me at [email protected] I ll be able to give you more details for the coming meetings. Ciao Paul
Thanks everybody for the warm welcome, it's nice to see others with the same passion... talking of passion, I've mentioned I'd like to renovate the dashboard, which is frankly speaking in quite bad conditions (not so evident in the pictures, but sadly is...); any suggestion ? I've probably found the right material, still need to check... any experience ? supplier ? kind regards, Marco
