Many thanks to Joe Sackey for helping me find a pristine low-mileage F50. The carbon fiber weave is clearly visible and perfectly uniform on every body panel. I haven't seen too many F50s like that.

Also, many thanks to Chris at EXOTICAR AUTO for shipping me perfect factory-fresh wheels as spares. You can never have enough wheels. Chris did an excellent job packaging them for cross-country shipment.

Finally, many thanks to Ferrari of Orange County and Premier Motorsport for very carefully inspecting the F50 both mechanically and cosmetically.

    Awesome.

F50's always look so big, until you see one with someone sitting in it.

Congrats on an F50 USA version!
Do you know the target weight for the F50 from your 'weighty' list or will you be putting it on the scale?

    Bill,

    Congratulations.

I know you did your homework and deliberated long & hard, but I also know this will be perhaps the nicest F50 in the country before long.

    Enjoy!

Thanks. We plan to drive and show after we do a complete detail. I may just show for a year.

Thanks Chris for an awesome packaging job! All four wheels are perfect.

I agree! It looks like a lot of car behind the driver and passenger.

    Thanks, we will!

More to come after we finish the detailing.

I plan to weigh, but I think I discovered something. Please see my update to that thread.

Thanks so much. It's fun to be able to show the series now. I guess I just need the two ends someday.

Tubi mufflers now, everything else is US correct. We found and ordered the OEM exhaust from Ferrari so we can Classique Certify. If anyone's looking for a tubi F50 (and F40) exhaust, I have them for sale.

    Fantastic Bill,

Many congratulations to you! I've been looking for the right F50 now for a few months, and only wish they were all as nice as yours seems!

Enjoy in the only way that's right... Driving as long, as often as you can! :)

    Best

Not sure yet. It's harder to wash with the roof off and you need to protect the interior. But I *think* it looks better with it off (CGT definitely does). Unfortunately it's not a quick procedure to remove/replace. It does have a soft top, but that's only good for traveling since you can't use it over 50 mph or so. Maybe I'll alternate every year for some variety!

Me too. It was hard to find a very original example. Luckily this one just needs the mufflers and some careful detailing before we can show it with Classique certification. There are some very low mileage cars, but owners don't want to sell.

Thanks. Haven't driven it yet but I hope it will feel like the engine is attached to my spine.

Never been to one before, but it looks great on their Web site! Might try this. Thanks for the heads up!

Thanks. It truly does take several very knowledgeable and experienced people to make something like this happen.

Road America is one of the best track i have ever been too. And the town of Elkhart Lake is very cute and has a lot of charm. Hope to see you there!

Didn't think your garage could get any better, I was very very wrong. Congrats on an awesome car.
