First pics I've seen. I'm in the Porsche nut camp. I think it looks great. I'm hearing end of '06 best case for U.S. delivery.

I'm being told August/Sept for the GT3, and June/July for the Turbo.

It's not bad. I prefer the 996s overall. Don't like the round lights of the other models.

I like the return to the round head lights- the 996 lighting kit looked a little too 'angry appliance' in the mode of virtually every pedestrian japanese and american car.
I think the front bumper looks a little busy; other than that, i'm good with it, and that red looks particularly vibrant, at least on the monitor i'm viewing it on right now.

The local dealer has an aerokit 997 in their showroom.....in Guards Red actually.....and it looks fabulous in person !!! I didn't like the pics at first either....the only subtle changes I'd make are to the front air dam to tell you the truth....I'd remove those little air scoops and maybe reshape the centre part.

What is going to be interesting I think are the actual engine and performance numbers IMHO..............with the X51 engine option producing the previous GT3 horsepower numbers on the Carrera S, one wonders just what Porsche will do with the new GT3.

People I have spoken to who have driven X51 cars have said that they are equal to a 996TT in seat of the pants feel. Does that mean a 996TT will depreciate even more with the introduction of the 997 GT3..........maybe to 993TT levels and then some ?
