    Hello everyone of F-Chat.

I signed up to gain/surf the board for information and gain knowledge from current owners so I can get a better idea and understanding of buying and owning a Ferrari. I'm just your average "run of the mill" guy, not rich/wealthy or well-off, normal working class guy that loves Ferrari's.

Anyways, I'll be leaving again soon, to go overseas as a contractor and finally made the decision to stash some earnings away to purchase one when I get back. I currently own a heavily modified BMW 3 series and I am on the BMW forum sites too, which they are a very helpful and good group of people and figured that F-Chat could only be better.

Well there you have it, my background and my plans. I look forward to when I get back and owning my first Ferrari - currently have my heart set on F430 by the way. So, any thoughts, ideas, lessons learned, please share. Thank you =)

    Welcome!

I've been overseas as a contractor (military support) and now with my own company for over 20 years... where will you be going?

There's lots here for you... the 430 is a great car...

    Mike

I'm doing the same, military contractor (SatCom/IT Support). Don't exactly know where I'm headed yet, doesn't really matter. I've been to Iraq when I was active duty (Army) and to Afghan as a contractor before. I'm hoping Afghan simply because that's where I'll make more money.

The 430 is the plan so far. I'm going to pay the rest of my house off first then put money aside for the car, I want to pay cash upfront for it, I hate having monthly payments on anything haha But, been researching for the past week and seen some quite unique 430's that look absolutely gorgeous. Besides, like most people, I've dreamed of owning a Ferrari since I was a kid and owning one is on my "bucket" list. Yup, I was one of those kids with Ferrari posters all around my room haha

    Cheers,
    Perry
