Just got back from a trip to Italy, visited Ferrari, Lamborghini, and Ducati. Saw tons of Ferrari's and Lambos out testing including several new 599's in various colors. I'm attaching a few photo's in hopes that others might enjoy viewing, nothing award winning. I have hundreds of auto photo's but am only posting those of the new cars as many have shared their museum photos already.

yeah, the museum is like 15 Euro, Lamborghini museum is free, and Ducati has a factory tour and museum open to public...both free. I wanted to get to Pagani but did not make it. I was there for 12 days, but only gave myself 21/2 for the auto museums.

the 599 is wearing on me more and more...
New School Pininfarina has lost touch with the simple elegance and sensual shapes that defined that once great design house.

Sure it's new, and lots of people, MUST HAVE the new new new new whatever...
and Ferrari will sell everyone they cobble together, and they do use the latest and greatest technologies...

BUT...is that really a good thing? Have they realy raised the bar just for raising the bars sake? or have they designed the quintesentail new generation Ferrari?

I'll stick to old school, price and exclusivity not relevent. The 599 is just too busy a design and not balanced. Waaay to much "gee whiz" influence.

Nice pics. The 599 actually looks decent in a couple of those shots.

Agreed. The first shot makes it appear very low and wide, creating a much more aggressive look.

Probably an artifact of the photo; nonetheless it looks great in that pic.

Thanks for sharing the photos, what makes me upset is that Ronald McDonald got his F430 built before I even got a phone call.

The rims on the 599 need to go...somewhere far, far away...

Great pics - I must get over there myself sometime. I read an article in Evo a couple years ago detailing best places to stay, see cars out on test, etc and have been wanting to go ever since.

Re 599, I've only seen it in pics, can anyone who's actually seen one tell me if it is it one of those cars that looks better in the metal than in pictures? I hope so, as I have to say it's leaving me underwhelmed - I think the last truly beautiful Ferrari was the 355 (despite it's rather dated interior).

I've been planning the trip myself and an article like that would be of great help, you wouldn't happen to have scans of it, would you ? If so please post them

Sorry - I don't have a scanner. You can get back issues from their website at www.evo.co.uk also I'm not sure but itmay be in the Evo Supercars book that they did recently.

The red against all the yellow on the F430 spider looks really weird.
