New Server

Folks - I have now formally switched hosts and Ricambi America is on a new server. It'll be a little slow until it has a chance to cache some images and stuff. If you have any trouble using the site or problems with email, I would really appreciate just letting me know via a PM message.

Another 24 hours of hell has just ended. I think we're running now on the new box. Switching servers is far more complicated than I thought -- and with 80,000+ items, even the smallest of settings can have a huge impact on performance.

Anyway, we're rolling.

In more news... a nice set of floor mats arrived today. I haven't even opened the box yet -- but for all of you who placed orders, can I safely assume you've now sold the cars on eBay and I'll be stuck with these?

 

I love your site and your service (you always ship promptly).

One small suggestion for improvement: sort in reverse Dollar order for displaying items.

Right now, your site displays your $0.00 items (typically out of stock stuff) first...reverse that sort order and your out of stock items wouldn't show up at first.

 

That's a pretty good idea -- and one that other folks have suggested too. I guess I'll give it a crack. In the meantime, if you simply click the word "price" in a products listing, it'll sort on that field. See circled area in pic below. Just click there.

Hey, I was on your site yesterday via dialup - no hiccups whatsoever.

 

Server switches can be a real PITA. Glad you worked out the kinks and have it running smooth again!
