Well, the FChat outage cost me some dollars. Got the fever and couldn't take the FChat cure so I bought a 1987 TR. Never thought I'd buy a red Ferrari but hey I was in the midst of a serious feverish condition - plus the damn thing looked new!!! Here is the link:

Great find. Drive that thing!! Check the dates on those tires, if they're 5-6 years old or more you might want to get new rubber.

The black interior is a much more current look than the brown dash - that is a whole lot of brown regardless of the the color seats and doors -

You should check the numbers on those tires and determine the age - very unsafe to drive 20 year old tires - or even 5 year olds for that matter -

WOW! Those are original. If your were to concours the car you might want to think about keeping those tires mounted on a set of wheels for the shows.

I'd keep those tires mounted on those spotless wheels for the shows and grab another set of wheels and get tires to drive on. That's my 2 cents.

The 2 best options are IIRC are Dunlop SP8000's that are rated for the 10" rear wheels and Mich Pilots that are rated for 9.5" rear wheels (again IIRC) but will work with the 10" wheel w/o problems.

If the search is functional after this weekend's reload, I'd suggest searching on this as this has been gone into detail in the not too distant past.

Beautiful car! But I have a Testarossa question; in the pics this car has all black interior but tan carpet in the bonnet, was this an option or standard or what? Is there anyone who can explain this?

    Thanks in advance,
    Alex

The best thing going for stock wheels are a set of Pilot Sports from Coker. The next best are very average at best and are the Goodyear Eagle HP. I have a set I took off mine with about 1000 miles on them. Couldn't stand them anymore.

What was wrong with them? Noise?

The current Goodyear Gatorback is the GS-D3, I have them and have used GS-D2s also...

And another car rolls on the Eagle GS-C, but they are RH and LH...the warehouse advised I may be the only guy left, ordering them.

Early TRs did not have the "package tray" under the dash. I don't know when the tray was added, maybe around 1986 of 1987.

Very nice - I noticed that one in the Sport Auto inventory. I agree, the black dash/interior looks more modern than the brown.
