What was your motivation for this somewhat extreme performance upgrade?

You planning to go up the Pod, or do you just want to scare the poo out of Warren, Kevin abd Robin at a trackday!! LOL

Is the nitrous system reliable and not damage the engine. How much for kit and how much to install ? Where did you have it installed ?

The company that supplied you with Nitrous is only up the raod from me in Doncaster.....

When you driving along do press a button to release the nitrousand suddenly a rush of power like turbo or can you have the extra power build up over time ?

I need to do more testing yet , yes you can put it on any car
I will put it on a Dyno when all set up
the system uses a controller to ajust power and rate
so you hit the switch to arm it ,then at 3/4 throttle it cones in

    Riki,

Doesnt this method of power increase place huge stress on bearings and con rods??

I was told that a full rebuild is sometimes required after prolonged use?? True or horse****!!

Have you had a chance to try it out in the dry now? How are you getting on with it and what are your experiences so far?

I was told when enquiring about NOS'ing my Pantera those days that the NOS bottle is only good for a few hits and then you have to refill it. The impression i was given was it would not last for more than a few km of continous use.

This put me off. Is this right ?

I was also educated as to how NOS works. It does not explode in its self. The gas is inert. What it does is super cool the intake air allowing for a denser wad of air per intake stroke and a larger fuel component in compliment per stroke and a resulting bigger bang per stroke. Cooler exhausts were also claimed.

    Skin.

More fuel in... and more unburnt fuel out into the exhaust on gear changes/braking.... which is awesume as anyone who has seen Andy's 348 will tell you. The flames are HUGE!

With nitrous you have to have the right mind set in using it. If its more power you want for continus use then dont go for gas. It is used just to get you over that point were you realy wish you had it, like when i am tearing on the road against somthing of simular power and i just want to have the edge to out drag him. When i had a twin turbo V8 i used nitrous as an aid to my intercoolers, and while on the subject of turbos you may only have your turbos on song for maybe 20% of your use of the car, the rest of the time your using just the power of the engine with out the turbos, the same could be said with gas.
I found that with the right size bottle i got about 45 seconds of use, so considering that it was only used for a matter of seconds and not the full 45 seconds becourse that would be of no use becourse in seconds you reach the desired speed at greater volosity.
So dont think that Nitrous is a substitute for real world power becourse its not, its a shot in the arm when you need it.
